Three Steps To Throwing The Best Warehouse Parties

Posted on

There are a lot of ways to make money on the party scene. One of the ways that you can make money and have a lot of fun being spontaneous is throwing pop-up parties in the city. If you live near a large city, these will be a reprieve from the usual places and will attract a lot of people who like to attend clubs. As a party thrower, you will need to be able to properly secure space, market the party, and have the space set up completely before party-goers show up. Here are three steps to throwing a warehouse pop-up party.

Find a warehouse to rent

It is a good idea to get liability insurance for your party business before you begin to have parties inside of warehouses. Set up an LLC and purchase liability in the event that there is any damage to the buildings or equipment that you use for parties. With a business set up, a good contract, and proper insurance, you can approach the owner or the real estate agents of warehouses and ask to rent out space for your party. Be sure that a contract is signed by both parties outlining the dates, times, and things that are permissible for the party inside of the unit.

Throw a theme each time

A theme is a good way to attract old and new party guests to your pop-up warehouse party. A theme such as a costume party, an all red party, or a tribute to a certain artist is one of the best ways to get the creative juices flowing in the crowd and in your decor. Set up the warehouse to reflect the current theme of your party with murals and banners with texture. Announce the theme at least a week before the party on promotional materials so that everyone has time to prepare.

Interview budding DJs

It is a good idea to use a mix of well-known DJs and new DJs for your pop up parties. Interview with some DJs who are just hitting the scene, especially if you want to get a good deal on an all-night party. The DJ will be happy to have their name and image on the marketing associated with the event, and you may be able to discover a brand new disc jockey that the city loves. As usual, create a contract with the DJ outlining how much they will be paid, how long they are expected to perform, and what they will need to bring to the job as far as equipment.
